Gamers invest time and money in decorating their avatars, and brands are jumping into an occasion to create the digital versions of their products in-game.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Digital fashion<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Scandinavian<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0apparel brand\u00a0<\/span><b>Carlings<\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0has launched the very first digital-only fashion collection. Following the success of Fortnite, Facebook created its own sandbox\u00a0universe that is playable in virtual reality using Oculus. Facebook Horizon will\u00a0allow users to design their own diverse avatars and hop between virtual\u00a0locales through portals called Telepods, watch movies and consume other\u00a0media with friends.<\/p>\r\n<p>If Facebook Horizon repeats the success of Fortnite or\u00a0Second Life a&nbsp;decade ago, it has a&nbsp;chance to be a&nbsp;new playground for brands\u00a0in developing virtual items for our digital selves.
