We&#8217;ve teamed up with the famous Czech influencer Karel \u201cKovy\u201d Kov\u00e1\u0159, whose nickname literally means \u201cmetals.\u201d The starting point, for our tale begins with a&nbsp;link \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.samosebou.cz\/tag\/kovove-odpady\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Story of Metals<\/a>\u201d on a&nbsp;dedicated landing page within the online magazine at Samosebou.cz. Here we will find all information relating to the sorting, recycling and other possible uses for metal waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-responsive embed-responsive-16by9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"P\u0159\u00edb\u011bh kovu\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sB7UOSxHvmc?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Karel \u201cKovy\u201d Kov\u00e1\u0159 follows with his own story, in his own inimitable, witty manner. We\u2019ve organised all of the interesting facts and figures into an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samosebou.cz\/2021\/03\/12\/infografika-trideni-a-recyklace-kovu-v-cr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">infographic<\/a>. And for neophytes, we\u2019ve recorded a&nbsp;short video-tutorial on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samosebou.cz\/video_post_type\/jak-spravne-tridit-kovy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">how to correctly sort metal waste<\/a>.<span style=\"font-size: inherit; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, &quot;Segoe UI&quot;, Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, &quot;Helvetica Neue&quot;, sans-serif;\"> <\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><p>There are also many other communication assets that expound on the story of metal recycling, including videos, stories, Facebook Canvas and social media posts. For instance a&nbsp;popular post on Instagram about recycling metal yoghurt covers has received over 2,500 likes on Instagram and created a&nbsp;rich discussion.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/havas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ekokom-instagram-post-vicka.png\" rel=\"lightbox\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"929\" height=\"596\" src=\"https:\/\/havas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ekokom-instagram-post-vicka.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12736\" srcset=\"https:\/\/havas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ekokom-instagram-post-vicka.png 929w, https:\/\/havas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ekokom-instagram-post-vicka-300x192.png 300w, https:\/\/havas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ekokom-instagram-post-vicka-768x493.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 929px) 100vw, 929px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>EKO-KOM is pleased with the buzz and so are we. Three quarters of all Czechs sort their rubbish on a&nbsp;regular basis. And during the pandemic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ekokom.cz\/vysledky-zpetneho-odberu-a-vyuziti-obalovych-odpadu-za-rok-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">these stats<\/a> went even higher. One positive influence on these numbers has been the addition of 12,000 new recycling containers, specifically those for metal waste during 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/havas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/eko-kom-stats-odpad.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/havas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/eko-kom-stats-odpad.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12741\" srcset=\"https:\/\/havas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/eko-kom-stats-odpad.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/havas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/eko-kom-stats-odpad-300x189.jpg 300w, https:\/\/havas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/eko-kom-stats-odpad-768x484.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><figcaption>The growth of the number of recycling containers in the Czech Republic<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><p><em>\u201cThe recycling of metals meets with a&nbsp;fast rise of the containers for its collection. Altogether, it is possible to recycle metals in more than 73&nbsp;thousand containers,\u201d<\/em> says Radim Dvo\u0159\u00e1\u010dek, communications manager for EKO-KOM. <em>\u201cOne of the most influential factors is also the multi-commodity waste collection, where it is possible to recycle metals into yellow containers along with plastics \u2013 such a&nbsp;container is always labelled with a&nbsp;grey sticker carrying the information if it is possible to use it for a&nbsp;metal waste.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><p>On a&nbsp;final note, 99% of all sorted metal waste is actually recycled, so it does make sense to sort it.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s not just plastic that gets the recycling treatment.
